The AGM held on the 18th November this year, was exceptionally well attended by the members who actively support the club and the committee. Thank-you for all your support. I would also like to express my appreciation and thanks, of three committee members who stood down, Malcolm Davison, Ken Barry and Chris Vickery. They will be missed from the committee as they have been founder and faithful members of the club. Ken has in fact led more walks than any other member. We wish them well.

Next year we will continue with a programme which will give a variety of locations to visit. The Bedfordshire area has numerous walks from the beginning of 2012, offering fresh air and splendid views of our local countryside, which is freely available and knows no boundaries. 

The Bedfordshire walking festival next year runs between 8th-16th September. This year it offered fifty one walks and the average participation was sixteen. A start has already been made to find attractive venues and we again will be supporting this initiative within our walking area.

We are having two club holidays this coming year. The first is on the Isle of Wight from 16th-20th April. The cost will include the ferry across to the Isle of Wight. There will be two walks per day. The second club holiday will be at the Valley of the Rocks, Lynton, Devon from 5th October-8th October. Again there will be numerous walks planned. In 2013 Linda Bawden will be heading up the walking holiday at Moorside in the Peak District. More details on page 2. Full details in the summer programme

We are currently looking for more walk leaders to give variety to the walks. Please consider if you would like to be involved in this way.
