Formed in 1985 the Leighton Buzzard Rambler’s Group is still going strong in spite of Covid 19.
With restrictions lifting we can again offer a varied programme of walks. We are proud to be part of The Ramblers Association UK, which encourages walking, keeps public rights of way open and works to conserve the countryside.

Catering for all levels of fitness our programme offers walks from 5 miles to 10 miles plus. Choose from our Sunday or weekday walks. All walks are usually in a 15 mile radius of Leighton Buzzard.

Our annual holiday trip has always been well supported but this year had to be postponed due to the lock-down. Hopefully we will be able to offer this again soon.

Long distance paths walked include: South Down’s Way, Coast to Coast, Glyndwr’s Way, The Monarch’s Way and in the near future The Saxon Shore Way.

In the past one of our experienced leaders has organised walkabouts in London. This has been very popular with members and provided some very interesting walks in the Capital.

A full social programme of events including summer BBQ/ Garden Tea party and in the winter Bingo, Quiz evenings and Race Night to name but a few, will resume as soon as restrictions allow.

You can contact us by going to where a full programme can be seen. For details of membership contact our membership secretary. The bonus is that membership of The Ramblers Association UK entitles you to walk with any registered group in the UK and you will be playing a big part in keeping the countryside open for future generations.

We are a friendly group and welcome new members. You can walk with us a couple of times before making your decision so what is there to lose?
